He saw a natural unfolding of a story. His “ups and downs” prepared him with insights into the human condition, that resulted in an endless compassion for others with difficult life journeys.

The process persuaded him not to continue in the technical profession his Air Force career had qualified him to pursue and succeed at as a civilian. He ultimately decided his patterns a life of religious, church planting service. Upon retirement, he pursued graduate studies.
