Why Does It Matter to a Board?
September | Operations & Business Model Review
Why This Matters:
Boards must understand the operational realities that bring strategy to life and mission to fulfillment. Overstepping or under-engaging with day-to-day systems can jeopardize staff morale, efficiency and impact. Its best the board, executive team and the program delivery staff not merely "stay in their lanes," but understand what each contributor to the strategy core -- board, exectives and programming staff -- bring to the fulfillment system.
Guiding Question | In this session, we ask, “How do we ensure that our organization’s promise to the community is both deliverable today and sustainable for the future?”
- The Operations Review ensures our care delivery system is well-tuned to make impact today (keeping capacity, capital and culture in balance).
- The Business Model Review ensures the enterprise is on a sustainable footing the deliver care to stakeholders well into the foreseeable future (inputs, outputs, revenue, impact in conversation).
