Why This Matters:

Culture is a board-level responsibility. When the board fails to foster appreciation, trust, or clarity, it indirectly contributes to burnout, turnover, and inefficiency. This session affirms the duty of loyalty by valuing the people who carry out the mission.

Guiding Question: How does our board contribute to a culture that sustains and supports our staff? How does it do so without adding to challenges that attend the day -to-day load or over-stepping boundaries between what staff and board must do in their work together?
